Little Donkey

The downside of being a self-employed illustrator is that you spend a lot of time by yourself; no much social interaction.  Then when a client requires you to paint on site, it´s not just the excitement of the new commission, but the opportunity to meet new people interested in your art, lots of  comments & feedback and the great vibe that you get from it.

That was exactly the case with Pequeño Burro, a fantastic Mexican restaurant & take away in the heart of Shrewsbury.  Gwen, the owner and chef of this amazing place, approached me to paint a mural in their premises.  The brief was clear, colourful and a little donkey had to be the main character of this story.  I spent two day there and enjoyed every second with its people and customers.

If you are local or visiting Shrewsbury and would like try tasty Mexican food, don´t miss Pequeño Burro.  They have a varied their menu including vegan options and all of the dishes are super tasty.  You won´t regret it!
